Cockapoo Chronicles
The Countdown is On – Roxie’s Puppies Are Nearly Here!
Exciting times ahead at Everything Cockapoo! Our lovely Roxie is now six weeks pregnant, which means there are only three weeks to go until we welcome her adorable little ones into the world. She’s definitely starting to feel the effects of pregnancy her belly is growing, she’s resting a lot more, and we’re making sure she’s as comfortable as possible. To support both her and her puppies, we’ve transitioned her onto a new, nutrient-packed diet to give them the best possible start in life.
Ralfie’s Going to Be a Dad Again!
As if Roxie’s pregnancy wasn’t exciting enough, our handsome boy Ralfie has some big news too he’s going to be a dad again! One of his previous mates, the beautiful Daisy, has been scanned and is expecting three little bundles of joy. She’s due just a week after Roxie, and we can’t wait to hear updates on her pregnancy and meet her precious puppies in the near future.

Preparing for Nesting & New Arrivals
With Roxie’s due date fast approaching, we’ve been busy getting the maternity suite ready so she has the perfect space when she starts nesting. While she hasn’t begun yet, we know it won’t be long before her instincts kick in, and we want to make sure everything is set up just right for her comfort and the safe arrival of her puppies.
Ralfie the Study Buddy & Talking Dog! ππΎ
It’s been a busy week for Ralfie not only is he preparing for fatherhood again, but he’s also been helping Louis with his online maths work! Whether he’s offering moral support, keeping an eye on the screen, or just being the best study buddy around, Ralfie loves being part of the action.

On top of that, he’s also learned a new trick - talking with pet buttons! ποΈπΆ We bought some recording buttons that allow us to record messages, like “treat please”, and train the dogs to press them when they want something. It didn’t take Ralfie long at all to figure it out—he’s now an absolute expert!
All we have to do is ask, “What do you want, Ralfie?”, and he confidently presses his button, then sits nicely waiting for his treat (which is actually just his usual dog biscuits!). However, we’ve had to move the button out of reach a few times because he gets a little too enthusiastic… If we kept giving him treats every time he pressed it, he’d soon be the size of an elephant! ππ
The Final Countdown Begins!
With just a few weeks to go, we’re keeping a close eye on Roxie’s progress and making sure she gets all the rest, love, and care she needs. We’re so excited to share this journey with you and can’t wait to introduce Roxie’s puppies when they finally make their big debut.
Stay tuned for more updates, we’ll be sharing plenty of photos and news as we get closer to puppy arrival day!

Cockapoo Chronicles: Exciting Times Ahead!
It’s been an eventful week in our Cockapoo household, and we’ve got some exciting updates to share with you all!
Roxie’s Countdown – Only Two Weeks to Go!
Our lovely Roxie is now 7 weeks pregnant — and oh boy, is she feeling it! She’s officially in full-on nesting mode, spending about 95% of the day snoozing and conserving her energy for the big day. We’ve split Roxie’s daily food into four smaller meals to make it easier on her stomach while still ensuring she gets all the nutrients she and her growing pups need. With the puppies taking up more space, this helps keep her comfortable while maintaining her usual food intake.
She’s definitely looking bigger by the day — bless her little heart - but she’s handling it like a champ. Only two weeks to go now, and we couldn’t be more excited!
Ralfie’s Vet Adventure
Ralfie had a big week too! We took him to the vets for his yearly vaccination and health check, and we’re happy to report that he’s in perfect health — no issues whatsoever! The only part he wasn’t too thrilled about was when the vet checked his bits… and honestly, who can blame him? They’re precious cargo, after all! But he was a brave boy and handled it like a pro.
Our New Favourite Find – Vet Beds
Both Roxie and Ralfie have been obsessed with their new vet beds lately and honestly, so have we! We first came across them when Roxie went for her scan, and Paul (the lovely guy who scanned her) showed us his collection. We figured we’d give them a try and picked up two and let me tell you, they’ve been a game-changer! Soft, cosy, and super easy to wash what more could you ask for? I don’t think I’d ever bother with a regular dog bed again. If you want to check them out, we’ve linked them below highly recommend!
Ralfie and the Whelping Pen Situation
Ralfie has also discovered the whelping pen, and let’s just say he’s very attached to it. He’s been curling up in there like it’s his personal lounge, which is adorable but he’s in for a rude awakening when he realizes it’s actually for Roxie and her pups. We’ll see how that goes in a few weeks!

It’s safe to say things are getting exciting around here. We’re counting down the days until Roxie’s little ones arrive — stay tuned for more updates soon!
Until next time…..
The Countdown to Puppies, High-Flying Antics, and Spring Sunshine – A Week in the Life of Roxie and Ralfie
As we head into Roxie’s final week of pregnancy, the excitement around here is evident. The puppies are kicking like crazy, and we can tell that the big day is almost here! It’s amazing how much movement there is, and it’s only a matter of time before we meet the little ones.
To keep Roxie as comfortable as possible, we’ve started carefully monitoring her temperature. As most experienced dog owners know, when the temperature drops, labor is usually just around the corner. We’ve also upped her food intake to ensure she’s getting all the calories she needs for the final stretch of her pregnancy. Roxie’s appetite is definitely still strong, and she’s eating like a champ. We want to make sure she’s in tip-top shape when the pups arrive.
But while we’re focused on the puppies, our other mischievous pup, Ralfie, has been busy with his own antics. He might just be training for the High Jump at the next Olympics! When we go out, we typically put the dogs in the kitchen with their beds, toys, and plenty of water, then shut the stair gate and add a board to prevent Ralfie from jumping over. On this particular occasion, we decided to leave Roxie in her whelping pen in our bedroom to keep her comfy and relaxed. After dropping Kieran (our eldest) off at sixth form, we checked the cameras – and to our surprise, Roxie was barking like crazy! She could clearly hear Ralfie in the living room having a blast jumping all over the sofa.
We had to cut our trip to the garden centre short, as we didn’t want Roxie to get too stressed out and have it affect the puppies. I was not happy as I had my heart set on a full English breakfast!! When we got back home, we were shocked to discover that Ralfie had jumped over the board and had tried to make his way to Roxie. He must have jumped at least 6 feet! We couldn’t believe it!

Thinking we could make another quick trip out to buy a Mother’s Day gift, we left them both together in the living room. They know they’re not allowed on the sofas, but of course, Ralfie had different plans. This time, he decided to play a little game of hide-and-seek with Roxie. You can see in the video below him hiding behind the cushion on the sofa – a total mischief-maker! Roxie, not realizing he was there, started howling and barking, obviously distressed thinking she was alone. Once again, we had to cut our trip short to get back to them and settle them down.
On a more positive note, both Ralfie and Roxie have been soaking up the spring sunshine like true sun chasers. The weather has been gorgeous, and they both love basking in the warmth whenever they can.

Since this is our first time having a pregnant dog, we’ve been doing a lot of research to make sure we’re fully prepared for the big day. We’ve been picking up all the essentials, and this week, we made a fantastic purchase: a set of scales to weigh the puppies when they arrive! We were really impressed with the quality of the scales and the fast delivery. We’re feeling pretty confident now that we have everything ready for when the time comes. If you’re looking for something similar, check out the link below to see the scales we bought!
It’s an exciting time in our household, and we can’t wait to introduce you to Roxie’s little bundles of joy soon. Stay tuned for more updates we have a feeling the next week will be full of even more surprises!
A Mother’s Day to Remember
This week has been nothing short of magical in our Cockapoo world. Our beloved Roxie gave birth to five beautiful puppies on none other than Mother’s Day – a truly fitting tribute to the wonderful mother she has become.
She delivered three boys and two girls, each one as perfect as the next. Watching her navigate labour was awe-inspiring; she handled every moment with strength, grace, and just the right amount of bossiness. We couldn’t be prouder of her! Roxie took to motherhood like a duck to water, instinctively knowing exactly what to do.

Among her little brood, one has already stolen an extra special place in her heart – the first little boy she brought into the world. Once all the pups were safely delivered, and we had tidied up, we placed them on the heat mat to get cosy. But Roxie had other ideas. She gently picked up her favourite and cuddled him for ages, holding him close as if she already knew he was something extra special. It was a truly heart-melting moment to witness.

Meanwhile, our other cockapoo, Ralfie, had a slightly less intense role in the birthing process. He opted to watch a bit of YouTube, casually keeping an eye on proceedings until sleep eventually won him over. He may not have been quite as hands-on as Roxie, but he was there in spirit!

Once the excitement of the birth had settled, we introduced Ralfie to his first fur baby, and his reaction was simply adorable. He was instantly intrigued, looking at the tiny pup with wide-eyed curiosity. He sniffed him gently, tilting his head as if trying to understand this new little bundle of life. It was a beautiful moment, and we could tell he was already smitten with his new tiny puppy.

This was our first time experiencing the miracle of a dog giving birth, and it’s a moment we will never forget. From the anticipation to the awe of seeing new life enter the world, every second was an emotional rollercoaster. We have learned so much from this experience, and we can’t wait to watch these tiny pups grow into their own little personalities.
Our Labour Essentials Checklist:
• Whelping area (box or pen)
• Digital thermometer
• Scissors
• Towels
• Bulb aspirator
• Digital scales (To track weight)
• Umbilical cord clamps (can use dental floss or cotton)
• Electric heat mat
Stay tuned for more updates as we navigate the early days of puppyhood. Roxie is proving to be an incredible mum, and we can’t wait to share the next chapter of this adventure with you all!
Puppy Progress, Proud Dad Moments, and a Big Announcement!
It’s been a lovely week in our little cockapoo corner of the world - full of milestones, bonding moments, and a few funny surprises.
The puppies are thriving, putting on weight beautifully and growing stronger each day. They’re starting to find their voices too, making the cutest little sounds - honestly, they’re beginning to sound like a chorus of baby kookaburras! We’re also eagerly waiting for the magical moment when their eyes start to open, which should be any day now.

In a heartwarming twist, Ralfie finally met his puppies and not just from a distance! Roxie gave him the sweetest green light and actually let him into the whelping pen for a little bonding time. It was such a gentle and special moment, and we could see just how curious and calm he was around them. Proud dad vibes all around!

Speaking of Roxie, we did have to give her a little grooming session this week. We shaved her chest as some of her longer hairs were starting to wrap around her nipples, and we didn’t want to risk any irritation or infection with the pups feeding so frequently. She handled it like a champ, of course. To view the clippers we use click on the image below.
In big news, our Cockapoo Guide is officially live! After months of writing, editing, and pouring our hearts into it, the ultimate guide for new and seasoned cockapoo parents is now available as a digital download. If you’d like to grab a copy and support our journey, just click the image below:
And while all the puppy excitement is going on indoors, Ralfie’s been enjoying his hour of peace and quiet each morning on his daily walks. A little break from puppy chaos seems to be just what he needs—and we can’t blame him!

Until next time, thank you for following our journey. The puppy adventure continues...
Eyes Wide Open & Wobbly Wonders
Welcome back to this week’s Cockapoo Chronicles! It’s been a beautiful, busy week in our little corner of the world, and the pups are growing up fast.
The Pups at 2 Weeks: Eyes Open, World Discovered
Big milestones this week – the puppies are officially 2 weeks old and every single one has opened their eyes! It’s been magical watching them take in their surroundings, although still a little blurry for now. They’re starting to explore the whelping pen, taking those adorable first wobbly steps, and beginning to interact with one another. It’s like watching a fluffy little dance party in slow motion!
Roxie continues to be an absolute superstar mum. All five pups are gaining weight steadily, and we’re still doing daily weigh-ins to make sure everyone is thriving. To help Roxie keep up with the demands of her growing brood, we’ve increased her food intake – five hungry mouths are no joke! She’s been incredibly patient and loving, even though she’s now dealing with a bit of postpartum fur loss (bless her, she really is just like us human mamas after birth).

Ralfie’s Adventures: Power Walks and Sunshine
While Roxie is on full-time mum duty, Ralfie is making the most of the sunshine with his daily walks. He’s living his best life, sniffing every blade of grass and soaking up the rays. Louis even set us a challenge this week – to beat our walking personal best – and we did it! Four minutes faster, thanks to a breathless power-walk up the final hill. Legs were burning, but the sense of achievement (and Ralfie’s proud little face) made it all worth it.

Stay tuned for next week’s update – we’re expecting more personality to start shining through in the pups as they become more active and aware. Until then, we’ll be soaking up all the cuddles and chaos this precious stage has to offer.

With wagging tails and sleepy yawns, The Cockapoo Crew.
Puppy Milestones, Messy Faces & Mummy’s Boy: A Week in the Cockapoo Chaos!
What a beautiful (and slightly bonkers) week it’s been here at Everything Cockapoo HQ. From weight gains to weaning adventures, the pups have kept us on our toes - and our hearts full. Here’s your behind-the-scenes look at all the cuddly chaos from this week.

Growing Strong & Gaining Confidence
We’re over the moon with how well the puppies are doing. All of them have tipped the scales at over 1kg! They’re finding their feet and now confidently exploring the whelping pen. Best of all, they’ve started interacting with one another. Watching them wobble about and play together is the kind of joy you wish you could bottle up.

Social Stars in the Making
Socialisation is a huge part of preparing these pups for life beyond our home, and this week we officially started our early sensitisation process. Each puppy is getting used to being handled, hearing the hoover, and - most importantly - interacting with children. The boys have been in the pen this week, giving the pups all the love and attention they could ask for. It’s been heart-melting to see both the puppies and the kids bonding so naturally.

We’re also super proud to share that the puppies are already using their puppy pads to do their business, a huge milestone considering their age!
Roxie’s Well-Earned Breaks
At just 3 weeks old, the puppies are still nursing, and Roxie has continued to be an amazing mum. That said, she’s now starting to take little breaks outside of the pen - a sign that her pups are growing more independent. She’s earned every moment of rest and is loving the opportunity to stretch her legs and sneak in a cuddle with us too.

Weaning Begins - and It’s Deliciously Messy
The puppies have had their first tastes of proper food, and to say they’re enthusiastic eaters is an understatement! Weaning has been a delightful (and messy) adventure. They all dunk their faces in, they trample in it and everyone ends up with food on their fur even on their backs - but it’s all part of the fun and development.

Worming Prep - Only the Best
We’re also gearing up to give the puppies their first worming treatment. After doing lots of research, we’ve chosen a product we feel really confident in. It’s important to us that we do everything right by these little ones - from tummy health to tail wags.

Ralfie the Mummy’s Boy
Let’s not forget our resident fluff king, Ralfie. He’s been loving his daily walks, soaking up the spring sunshine and showing off his status as leader of the pack. The boys have been joining us on a few of the walks, though Ralfie does like to remind everyone who’s boss by pulling on the lead just a little more than necessary. He’s a character, and we wouldn’t have him any other way.

Thanks for following our journey - we’ve loved sharing this week’s milestones with you. Stay tuned for more updates next week as the pups continue to grow, learn, and steal hearts (and probably a few shoes, too)
Cockapoo Chronicles: The Great Escape, Teething Troubles & Ralfie’s Retreat
This week has been full of exciting milestones (and a few puppy puddles) here at Cockapoo HQ!
At just five weeks old, the puppies have officially broken free of the whelping pen and there’s no stopping them now. Our little explorers are roaming around the house, noses to the ground, tails wagging, and already starting to use the puppy pads. Of course, we’re still getting the odd accident here and there, but hey, they’re only babies!

In other big news, the teeth are coming in which means poor Roxie is having a tough time. Nursing a bunch of nibblers is no picnic, so she’s understandably started to wean them off, now only feeding them a couple of times a day. But don’t worry these pups aren’t going hungry! They’re enjoying three hearty meals a day, and their food is getting thicker and more solid by the day. They’re even tucking into full puppy kibble, softened just enough to keep those new teeth happy.
Weight gain continues to be fantastic. They’re growing fast and getting chunkier by the day. We had a bit of a challenge weighing them with our usual setup, so we got creative and invested in some digital luggage scales. Game changer! It’s made tracking their growth so much easier (and less chaotic).

Meanwhile, Ralfie is doing his best to avoid the chaos. Let’s just say fatherhood isn’t quite his thing, especially when the pups mistake him for a milk bar! He’s perfected the art of the strategic retreat and absolutely lives for his peaceful early morning walks, where he can escape the tiny teeth and wagging tails for just a little while.

Ralfie thinking he's safe sat on the walking pad!

That’s all for this week’s edition of Cockapoo Chronicles. Stay tuned, these pups are growing fast and who knows what next week will bring!
Cockapoo Chronicles: The Great Escape, Milk Bar Shenanigans & Finding Forever Homes
This week has been full of chaos, cuddles, and a touch of interior design failure!
We thought we were being super clever buying the puppies a stylish new cage that would blend beautifully with our furniture. A Pinterest-worthy plan, right? Well, the puppies had other ideas. It turns out their wriggly little bodies can squeeze right through the bars — Houdini would be proud. Major fail for now, but not a total loss… it should be just right once they’ve grown a bit more.
This was their great escape like a scene from pirates of the Caribbean.
The pups are really coming into their own now — full of mischief and personality. One of their favourite hobbies? Dragging puppy pads around the house like it’s a decorating challenge on TV. That, and tormenting poor Ralfie, who is a saint for putting up with it all. Although… we’ve noticed a little bond forming between Ralfie and Occy, which is melting our hearts!
Another big milestone — they’re fully weaned from Roxie now! They each have their own little bowl, and feeding time is like a game show: total mayhem. As soon as they finish, they try to ninja their way into another pup’s dish, so it’s a mad dash to scoop them up. Never a dull moment!
To help Roxie’s milk dry up, we’re keeping her away from the puppies… easier said than done. Just trying to get her out for a quick toilet break without her being mobbed like a rockstar at the “milk bar” is an Olympic-level event. But she’s been amazing — she’s now back to joining Ralfie on his daily walk and is loving every second of it. She trots along right next to us, occasionally glancing up to check we’re still by her side. Honestly, she’s a dream.

Big News: Our Puppies Are 7 Weeks Old!
We’re so excited to share some amazing news, our precious puppies are now 7 weeks old and every single one of them has found their forever home… right here within our family! We’ll be keeping the two fox red boys, who we’ve named Max and Occy. Our black boy with the green collar will be staying with my mum and is now named Sunnie. And the two beautiful girls will be joining my brother and his family - names still to be decided! We honestly couldn’t be happier. Knowing they’ll all be staying close means we’ll get to watch them grow up together, and it makes saying goodbye so much easier. It’s the best possible outcome, and we’re so grateful to keep them all in the family.
Until next time, from our puppy-filled home to yours πΎ
πΎ Cockapoo Chronicles: A Week Full of Firsts, Fur-cuts & Forever Homes πΎ
It’s been a beautiful, busy week here at Cockapoo HQ, and we’ve got so many paw-sitive updates to share with you all!
β¨ First Injections & Health Checks – All Paws Up!
This week marked a big milestone for our little fluffballs, they all had their first injections and full health checks. We’re thrilled to report that every single pup did brilliantly! The vet was super impressed with how healthy and happy they all are. It’s always such a relief to get that thumbs up and know that we’re raising a strong, thriving litter. ππΆ
π‘ New Homes, New Names, New Adventures
We had some emotional goodbyes (and lots of happy tears) as three of our gorgeous pups went to their forever homes.
Our sweet black boy has found his new best friend with none other than my mum! She’s named him Sunnie, and here’s the cutest twist - he’s actually joined Ralfie’s brother, so now we’ve got an uncle-nephew duo living their best life together. π€πΎ

And our two beautiful girls went to live with my brother and his partner. They’ve named them Luna and Nova, and from the updates we’ve received, they’re settling in perfectly. These little ladies are already stealing hearts in their new home. ππ

π‘ Staying Put – Meet Max & Occy!
The biggest news of all… drum roll please… our gorgeous fox red boys are staying with us! π₯Ήπ

We’ve named them Max and Occy, and honestly, our Cockapoo family just feels complete now. They’re loving life with their mum and dad, and thanks to the gorgeous sunshine lately, they’ve been spending loads of time outside in the courtyard chasing each other, soaking up the sun, and most importantly… practicing their toilet training out there! Major win for us (and our wallets, those puppy pads are no joke! π ).

πβοΈ Roxie’s Postpartum Glow-Up
Our lovely Roxie has had her own little transformation too! Post-pregnancy hormones weren’t too kind to her coat, so we decided it was time for a big haircut. She’s now sporting a shorter, sassier look, and she’s looking (and feeling!) fabulous again. Mama deserved a pamper, and she rocked it. πβοΈπ©

π First Sling Adventures – Sensory Training Begins
We’re also starting to sensitise Max and Occy to the outside world, so this week we bought a sling to bring them along on our daily walks. Yesterday was their very first outing in it, and they were fascinated by all the new sights and sounds. You could totally tell they were itching to explore on their own paws, but for now, the sling is the perfect intro to the big wide world. ππ¦΄
π Ralfie’s Looking Dapper
Last but definitely not least, our beloved Ralfie popped into the Harper Salon for his own little glow-up. He’s looking very smart now and ready to show the young pups how it’s done. β¨πΎ
Ralfie is also wearing his new personalised collar which meets the law requirements stating my name address and contact number, Ralfie also has on his new tracker which I can track on my find my iPhone app.
